Excellent comment about the TARP intervention.

gleaned from the comments section of an article about Evan Bayh:

"A good portion of you do not have a clue what would have happened if President Bush and Obama did not infuse capital in AIG. You have no idea because none of you understand what happen last September. If AIG went down the whole U.S. and World Economies would have collapsed.

You would have woken up one morning In September of 08 and you would not have been able to pull money out of your ATM. What this company did over the 7 to 8 years was conduct financial terrorism against the American people. I only wish that the Obama administration would explain it to America what happen. So people would understand the dynamics of what AIG and Wall Street did over the last 7 to 8 years.

None of you have a clue; maybe it’s true none of you could handle the truth of capitalism at its worse. "

Pretty much sums up all the angry rhetoric around most political debates from Iraq to Health Care - and reminds me of a quote from football coach Jim Mora once responding to criticism: "you don't know. you think you know, but you don't know and you never will."
