The House just voted along party lines today to sanction Rep. Joe Wilson for heckling the president. The Dems may have won the battle—but are they inadvertently rallying the GOP's base?

As the Democratic majority’s “yea” votes rolled in, Republicans cried out: House Minority Leader John Boehner said Wilson’s apology to Obama should have been enough. The Democrats, Boehner argued, are playing games to avoid real issues: “This tactic on the floor today is nothing more than a diversion so that they don’t have to talk about their government-run health-care plan,” Boehner said.
