09/01/2009 Human Observations
On this, the anniversary of the beginning of World war II, a moment of reflection.
The contributions of Europe to world history are considered. The attempt to make a planetary civilization palatable for Euro-habitation has more times than not resulted in the death of that invaded social structure and the citizenry. Using misinterpretation of bible scriptures as a justification for murder, the invaders swarmed many lands, disposing of those who stood in the way of their seizure.
The Second World War embraced this model, changing forever the relationship between humans on a planetary scale. Large nations have established specific standards of international behavior that are acknowledged as acceptable by smaller, less prosperous nations. However, as is typical of any European process, there is a minority percentage of nations whose populations cannot prosper from this system because of their inability to participate. This is the largest contribution offered by the Euro-invasion: the perpetuation of guaranteed devout poverty. In its “golden days”, the Euro-way distinctively separated the “haves” from the “have-nots”, actually proposing that the “privileged” were more deserving humans than the underprivileged; in some cases asserting that the impoverished were not even to be considered “humans” at all. This substitute for rational thought continued to be globally prevalent until challenged and overcome by real intelligence in the 1960’s. So, by the end of World War II, our planet became resolved to the influx of European ideas and people because they had taken possession of much of the commerce of the planet, and were dominant. The two small regions yet untaken were Asia and portions of Africa. Euro-influence and dominion continues even to this day.
